Introduction to Bankruptcy Workshop
Presented by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Restructuring Institute in partnership with The Delaware Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Restructuring Institute is pleased to present its Introduction to Bankruptcy Workshop, a first-of-its-kind, two-day program designed to provide junior insolvency professionals with a comprehensive, practice-oriented grounding in Chapter 11 proceedings.
The program will address the preparation and filing of a Chapter 11 petition, including pre-filing considerations, confidentiality issues, and first-day pleadings; the analysis of capital structures and the priority of claims among secured, unsecured, and equity constituencies; the negotiation and documentation of debtor-in-possession financing and the use of cash collateral under Section 364; fundamental accounting and reporting obligations arising in a Chapter 11 case, including 13-week cash flow forecasts, DIP budgets, and statements of financial affairs; and the standards and best practices governing the preparation and presentation of contested and uncontested matters before the Bankruptcy Court. The program will also feature a roundtable discussion with sitting bankruptcy judges and a panel of junior practitioners addressing career development and the day-to-day realities of insolvency practice.
